Every year, the Central Reserve Police Force conducts competitive exams for various posts like Head Constable, Tradesman & Technical Constable, etc. If you are appearing in the exam for the first time then you should avoid some of the common mistakes made by an aspirant to achieve favorable results. The basic mistake that most of the candidates make is that they fail to prepare a strict study schedule and follow it. And also, there are many aspirants who start their preparation too late and burden themselves. Candidates should learn from their mistakes in the preparation phase to clear the exam in one attempt. Along with the preparation strategy, they should not make mistakes in filling in the application form, downloading the CRPF Admit Card, etc in order to be allowed to appear for the exam. Here in this article, we have shared the list of common mistakes to be avoided by aspirants willing to appear for the upcoming CRPF Exam.

Preparing for Various Exam at one time

Many CRPF aspirants have a mindset that appearing for multiple exams at the same time will increase the probability of qualifying in at least one exam. This is a wrong approach towards the exam as this will only divert your focus from the main goal. Thus, the candidates should prepare for one exam with full concentration instead of focusing on multiple exams at the same time. Also, preparing for two different exams will create unnecessary confusion because the exam format and types of questions are different though they have a similar syllabus.

Focusing on Multiple Books

Candidates should refer to the best books and study resources for each subject as it can increase their chances of qualifying in the CRPF Recruitment exam. But reading too many books can be an issue as multiple books for a single chapter can create confusion and complicate the preparation strategy. Candidates should refer to limited books for each subject and after gaining conceptual clarity they can take help from different sources for practice purposes.

Not Practicing Enough

While preparing for the CRPF Exam, practicing questions as many as possible will not make you familiar with the actual exam pattern but will also help you in identifying your weak areas. Then you can figure out the reason behind it and focus on improving the areas that require more attention. This will be possible only if you regularly practice questions from mock tests, previous year papers, etc. Practicing more and more questions can help you in cracking the pattern behind the questions and solving it in a short period of time.

Ignoring Basic Concepts

Many aspirants make the mistake of skipping basic concepts of the subject and memorize formulas and shortcut methods to solve the question in less time. The first and foremost step of any exam preparation is to learn the basic fundamentals and apply the knowledge in the exam. Practicing questions without understanding the basic concept will make you mark the incorrect answers in the exam. Thus, it is important to understand the concept behind every chapter and then learn shortcut methods so that you can solve any type of question asked in the CRPF Exam.

Not Giving Equal Priority to Each Section

Many aspirants fail to give equal importance to all the topics as they feel being strong in two or three sections will be sufficient to crack the exam. This type of approach should be avoided at any cost because this will not give favorable results in the recruitment exam. Candidates should prepare all the topics of each subject and focus on the overall preparation for the exam.
