It seemed as though he viewed Harry as just another champion of the tournament. Viktor was part of the Durmstrang delegation that travelled with Igor Karkaroff to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to compete in the Triwizard Tournament on 30 October. His presence at the school caused a stir amongst the student body since he was famous, and he was constantly followed by groups of giggling girls. During the final match, Viktor fooled the Irish Seeker, Aidan Lynch, by performing a Wronski Feint that resulted in Lynch ploughing into the ground. Despite his skills, the Irish side were too good for the Bulgarians, and Viktor decided to end the match by catching the Golden Snitch. During his pursuit of the Snitch, he was hit in the face by a Bludger which broke his nose and gave him two black eyes.

Out of necessity Rowling has to downplay Hermione’s showing any interest in Viktor before the Yule Ball because any obvious clues would give away the surprise; however, she has given clues nonetheless. At the Quidditch World Cup in Goblet of Fire, Viktor first catches Hermione’s attention after he catches the Golden Snitch to end the Quidditch match. ” ˜He was very brave, wasn’t he?’ Hermione said, leaning forward to watch Krum land.” 5 While Hermione isn’t swooning over Viktor, she has noticed him and admires him for his bravery. Hermione proved time and again that she didn’t need someone to protect her, but that doesn’t make the notion any less endearing. He respected her, admired her, and possibly even loved her. He respected her despite their differences and, maybe, even loved her.

Ron walks by Hermione without looking at her because he’s bitter. He glares at her and overall acts like a dick at every turn. At the dance, Harry notes that Hermione is deep in talk with Viktor and that they both seem enthusiastic about their conversation. Now a mediwitch at the Vratsa Vultures, Hermione is forced to deal with resurfacing feelings she once thought laid… It is unknown whether Krum would have attended Bill and Fleur’s wedding if Hermione was not likely to be present. It is certain that she seems more surprised that he will be attending than he is at finding her there.

Most fans agree that Krum was the more invested of the two in the idea of a romantic relationship. During the second task of the Triwizard Tournament, Hermione is chosen as the person whom Viktor would “sorely miss” (later described as the thing he would miss most). After the second task, Viktor tells Hermione that he has “never felt this way about any other girl” and invites her to visit him in Bulgaria the following summer.

She denies them because she’s already going with someone, to which Ron responds, “She’s lying,” only to get told off by Ginny, who confirms that Hermione is indeed going with someone. While Viktor Krum does not play any particular clan names for clash royale role in this book, we see that Hermione is writing a very long letter to him as Christmas holidays approach. Hermione says that he’s just a pen-pal, but Ron comments that he would like to be a lot more than that.

That level of love and trust is rarer than a diamond, so it’s no surprise that Ron and Hermione wound up together in the end. With popular characters and pop culture icons, Hallmark’s itty bittys plush are so fun to collect that you’ll want to own each and every one of these perfectly-sized companions. The two attend the Yule Ball together, much to everyone’s surprise.
