Out of 59 entries in a wide range of categories, our eight judges chose nine beers for the final Best of Show judging. The Door County Beer Festival has added some big names in the Wisconsin food and beer world to this year’s event. Kyle Cherek, the host of Wisconsin Foodie, will return… May Saskatoon’s Wine, Spirits and Beer expo is back this May 24th, 25th and 26th at Prairieland Park . The Top of the Hops Grapes and Grains Festival will feature over 200 different liquor samples making this year’s event one of Saskatoon’s largest Beer, Wine and Spirit Expos. After taking four days away from any major responsibilities to drink beer, I found returning to life as usual pretty jarring, possibly due to the deletion of a year’s worth of brain cells in about 72 hours. So I’ve finally caught my breath long enough to start having daydreams about being back in that convention center, drinking world class beers one ounce at a time. So to fulfill my media obligations, I’ll avoid the simile-heavy narrative I had planned and give you an unsorted list of beer highlights from GABF 2015. Standing alone in a class of its own is the one and only Hyde Park Jazz Festival. This year’s fest features FREE admission, live music and dancing, tours of the magnificent Cathedral, authentic Greek food and pastries, beer, wine and much more. Chicago Craft Beer Week debuted in 2010 with 25 breweries taking part in about 320 events. You don’t have to go to events to taste some of the best beers Chicago has to offer. Just head to any local bar and chances are they have some great local selections. Held once in the spring and once in the fall, the event allows the breweries to showcase their well-known regular beers, but also their seasonal varieties as well.

Each day at GABF, the line for Black Project wrapped around and through the neighboring aisle, and each session the kegs kicked a little bit earlier.
It is the “eureka” moment that beer and spirits producers try to replicate at industry parties, in advertising and on massive billboards when promoting their brands. Ads often feature a group of friends holding the latest new drink or established brand. The hope is that in real life, they’ll spend time talking about it too.

The Door County Beer Festival returns to Baileys Harbor Saturday, June 20 with… The Midwest’s largest lobster fest features fresh Boston lobster, surf and turf, live music, and games. The annual celebration of encased meats expands to THREE classic beer once brewed in detroit days this year, with live music and all sorts of crazy toppings. New South Side beach music festival features dance and indie bands including Empire of the Sun, Passion Pit, and Phantogram. Craft cocktails from The Whistler, sangria from Lula Café, live bands, and food from local restos including Parson’s Chicken & Fish.
Several lodging establishments in Baileys Harbor have partnered with the festival to add shuttle service to and from the festival this year. Check out the Lion Dance Procession, Chinese dance, martial arts demonstrations, food from local spots, and a “hot legs” contest… Previously known as Summer on Southport with mixed media, live music, and interactive games.
