There are many things that children learn at school. One of the most important is grammar. Children may be able to follow principles of grammar most of the time by approximately age 11, or they can wait until approximately 18 years old for this skill to develop more fully. Rationale: This is an important skill to have later on in life. Children who can follow principles of grammar most of the time by age 11 will be able to better communicate their ideas and thoughts, which is a key component for success as they grow up. Benefit: children who are successful academically (in subjects such as language arts or history) tend to do well when it comes to communicating their ideas, thoughts, and opinions with others – especially when writing essays that require research; this ability may also help them succeed at future jobs where verbal communication skills are needed.
