In today’s world, cyber bullying is a serious issue. This is why it is so important to be aware of the words you use and how they may affect someone else. When we post something on social media that might not come across as intended, we need to take responsibility for our words. In this blog post, I will share some memes that people have posted without realizing the implications behind them.
The first meme I will share is the “are you threatening me gif”. This image has been used in a number of different contexts. One popular context it’s being shared with is to say that someone doesn’t want to do something, and they’re not actually making an explicit threat. It can also be seen as teasing, which might come off offensive depending on the tone!
Another example is when people post Ryan Gosling photos from their favorite movie or TV show without realizing how insensitive they are by doing so because he played a role in Assassination Nation at one point! Again this could have unintended implications like promoting rape culture if paired with other posts about violence against women for instance.
