The witness told the officer that “he feared for his own life due to several projectiles hitting the side of the building” in front of which he was sitting, the affidavit noted. As stated, it is a threat towards these 3 specific people not the Fair itself,” the police department said in a statement. Police also urged people not to drive while under the influence of alcohol.
SARASOTA, Fla- — A young boy was killed Friday night and police are still looking for leads. On July 10, 2020, a court document shows, the State Attorney’s Office declined to press charges against Grimsley. Grimsley was identified as the front seat passenger after officers were able to locate the individuals, the affidavit added. That day, the affidavit added, a detective “administered a photo lineup” to the witness, who identified the light-skinned male as Ladelvin Grimsley. “We are taking all precautions to ensure the Fair is safe and enjoyable this evening,” Sarasota police said.
